Not that I want to encourage this kind of life but with that context he is kinda right. Entrepreneurship is one of those areas where you genuinely get out what you put in. If you want your business to be better, you have to commit the time to it.
There have been so many offenses by this administration it’s hard to keep up and retain them all, but that one day has stuck with me ever since. We got cucked at our own capital in front of the world and this orange bitch did nothing. If nothing else right-wingers should be furious about that. It’s insane.
Imagine: you could have passed this comment by and it would have cost you literally nothing. Instead you chose to be a dick AND not answer the question, so instead your contribution is a net loss For everyone!
Those MAGA folks don’t know they’re brainwashed, and honestly, neither would any of us.
I challenge this line of reasoning. All that is required is asking the question “is that true?”, then attempting to answer that question. There are very few modern conservative talking points that cannot be riddled with holes via 10 min of googling. I understand that people of western society have had our attention robbed of us, but all that is required is a desire to know the truth. They don’t. They want to have an interesting story that triggers their emotions. I will not abide apologies for anyone still supporting the MAGA agenda.
Good. I’m not going to cry over people literally getting what they asked for.
History shows that lasting change happens when people organize, persuade, and build coalitions. That doesn’t mean ‘coddling’ extremists, but it does mean recognizing that not everyone who votes a certain way is beyond reason. Writing off everyone as an enemy is how you lose, and I assume you don’t want to lose.
The problem is we have two groups of people remaining in support of conservatives in the United States. We have the unapologetically evil; and this group will not be reached. Then we have the irreparably stupid. This group is much larger, and capable of reform, but is clearly so incapable of higher level reasoning that they can’t recognize that they have been voting against their own best interests time and time again, despite everyone in the left screaming at the top of their lungs.
Donald trump has made it apparent that the only way to reach these morons is through their emotions. We clearly cannot appeal to their sense of empathy, so we will make them feel a shame so deep they cannot hide from it.
It’s gotta start somewhere. FWIW I have been following this for at most a month and it is increased by at least 70,000 people. Not that that’s enough, but 300,000 people ain’t nothing.
If you have spent as much time protesting as you claim,
Spoilers: They haven’t.
You do understand you need money to eat right? Am I interacting with a toddler?
Since there is a certain psycho suggesting all Americans go to war for their personal protection I will take the opportunity to ride the top comment with this attempt at organizing a general strike in the US.
You can’t just post links to the past like that’s the world we are living in. Let me break it down Barney style for you.
If I don’t go to work because I was protesting I will be fired. Hell if the wrong people get wind of it I will be fired (best case scenario, and we’ll just assume I’m not going to come back home to look for work because I’m protesting!)>>> If I am fired my family will run out of money (as in $0, 0 credit) in about 2 months>>> Me and my family starve/are unhoused>>>protest over.
We actually have a little money set aside for emergencies so we can last longer than the Majority of Americans 30-60% of which are literally living paycheck to paycheck.
We are not in a position to do fucking anything without massive organized movement, and thanks to our geography and 50 years of carefully orchestrated plans to destroy the American middle-class that’s a tall order.
They would be dead or in prison. Did you ever think of that?
What am i, one unaffiliated person, going to do against a tyrannical government? Go commit suicide by cop? You are literally asking me to martyr myself and my family for your feelings.
You have illustrated just how unhinged you are in the rest of your comments. You don’t seem to understand that we are all trying to live our relatively normal lives while also figuring out what to do about this.
Here’s a hypothetical: I have two children under 6, my wife works full-time, I work 50 hours a week to keep a roof over my family’s heads and food in their mouths, I also make 2/3 of our household income, we have no real support system to speak of. We’re in Texas, so the allies I have are extremely limited, and do not include any of my family other than my brother, who doesn’t live here. We’re trying to figure out how to get out of here but it’s difficult and frankly I don’t know if we can afford it.
So you’re suggesting I do what? Go buy a gun for me and the three able bodied liberals I know (also fathers of young children) , kiss my family goodbye, drive for 2 days, get fired, and go do ourselves a good ol domestic terrorism? So you can feel better about the hell that WE not you are living through? And all because I committed the crime of being born in the wrong place and unable to escape? Get fucked.
It integrates into the Google ecosystem well, and if that has value to a person it may just be enough to bring them back to chrome.
Here’s the thing then: nut up and demand it. The reason that employers cave to parents on these things is because they know the child will take priority and the parent will take that time regardless. As they should. Trying to tell half of the workforce that they need to prioritize the job over their children is not a battle you can win.
If you have a problem with that then you need to find an ultimatum that you’re willing to stand your ground on. Otherwise just quit bitching because someone else received a benefit that you didn’t.
How bad is this actually. As in, how concerned should we be?
It’s really odd to assert that nobody has jobs when that is demonstrably untrue. The economy is quickly swirling the drain, but there are still millions upon millions of working Americans. Shutting down the economy via general strike is the last real resort we have.
I’m not going to sit here and let you demean the one real tool we the people have left.
